One of the reasons the Algarve is such a popular holiday destination amongst tourists is the ease of which is can be visited.
As well as being able to fly into Faro International Airport, you can drive into the Algarve, either from Huelva, Spain by using the N431, or from Via do Infante, Portugal, by using the A22.
You can also use the Port of Portimao if you wish to travel by ferry.
Probably the easiest route to the Algarve is by air, with flights to Faro available from almost all of the major European Capitals.
